After a 15-minute free kayak lesson, lead by a local guide / tour instructor, you can paddle your way through the calm and crystal clear waters of the lake that allows you to explore the natural beauty of the surrounding vibrant wildlife and greenery.

The tour allows you to enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the lake where you can sight exotic birds, enjoy a sunset depending on the time of day you choose the activity, glimpse the Dodanduwa Harbour and enjoy a sea bath if time and weather permits. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned kayaker, the Rathgama Lagoon / Lake, is a unique way to connect with nature and enjoy an escape from the bustling city life of the coastal hub of Hikkaduwa. Note: This activity is not wheelchair accessible. The site can be reached via public transportation as well. No infants allowed. Visitors with back problems, serious medical conditions and expectant mothers are prohibited.
