The Ceylon Hedge Blue (Udara lanka) is a rare and endemic butterfly species found exclusively in Sri Lanka. It belongs to the Lycaenidae family, which includes many small and delicate butterflies known as "blues."

Characteristics:

  • The upper side of the wings is a soft bluish-purple, often with a slight iridescence.
  • The underside is pale grayish-white with fine dark spots and markings, providing excellent camouflage.
